If you consider yourself a music lover then you’ll understand why this is truly special. In 2012, CBS broadcasted its annual Kennedy Center Honors which awards the lifetime achievements of performance artists. In this particular ceremony, they celebrated the work of rock band Led Zeppelin. Released in 1971, “Stairway to Heaven” is widely considered to be one of the greatest rock songs of all time. Now watch Robert Plant, the band’s frontman, as he listens to a rendition of Stairway to Heaven performed by Ann and Nancy Wilson of the band called Heart. Plant nearly breaks down in tears when John Bonham’s (Led Zeppelin’s late drummer) son Jason joins on the drums. What a powerful performance and what an amazing moment in music history!
