The San Francisco 49ers are in the midst of a terrible four-game losing streak, causing them to change from Blaine Gabbert to Colin Kaepernick at quarterback. They travel to take on a Bills team that has won three games in a row, but there is reason to think the Niners will break out of their slump. Here are three reasons why the 49ers will win on Sunday:

3) Kaepernick’s re-emergence
Kaepernick appears to be a good fit for Chip Kelly’s offense, and he’s shown flashes of his ability in the past, leading the 49ers to a Super Bowl berth. San Francisco’s passing game has been awful this season, and while there are obvious questions about what (if any) improvement Kaepernick will be in that area, he is a much better runner – the kind of quarterback that excels in Kelly’s system. Expect him to give the 49ers’ offense a spark.

2) Improving running game
For all the struggles the 49ers have in the passing game, they rank eighth in the league in rushing – and second in rushing touchdowns. Carlos Hyde and Shaun Draughn (and Gabbert) have flourished in Kelly’s system, and the Bills are just an average defense against the run. With the added dimension of Kaepernick, look for San Francisco to have a lot of success on the ground on Sunday.

1) Buffalo’s inconsistency
The Bills have certainly proven they are a very capable team, reeling off three straight wins over the Cardinals, Patriots and Rams, but also have disappointing losses to the Ravens and Jets. You never know which team will show up on any given Sunday, which is the reason they missed the playoffs last year. They could easily put up another dud this weekend.
