Now Hiring: Willie Nelson Needs You To Work For His Weed Company, Starting Salary $65,000

While it seems to good to be true, due to the fact that nothing could be sweeter than working for Willie Nelson, this is not a joke. Seriously, we aren’t pulling your leg, you can even apply for the job here.

The legendary country music singer/marijuana Conti Sueur is launching his own pot company, which he calls “Willie’s Reserve” in Colorado. He is in search of five new employees, according to reports.

Willie’s new brand will use an assortment of strains, cultivation methods, and recipes to provide a full line of products including pre-rolls, edibles, and flowers. Each product that is sold by Willie’s Reserve will be hand-picked by Willie himself. In an interview with Wide Open Country, will referred to the brand as a way of giving back to the “pot enthusiasts that flocked to his shows,” according to the companies own website. In past interviews, Nelson has even stated that he wants the store to look and feel like “the anti-Walmart.”

So what positions are open for hire at Willie’s Reserve? Currently, he is needing five employees to help him with the new brand: a production manager, extractor, compliance officer, bookkeeper and a sales director.

He is offering a wide range of benefits, and even salary pay, which for his production manager starts at a whopping $65,000 a year. He also is adding in performance-based incentives, according to the site.

“(Nelson) wants it to be something that’s reflective of his passion,” Willie’s Reserve’s Michael Bowman told The Daily Beast last year.

Ultimately, it’s his. But it was developed by his family, and their focus on environmental and social issues, and in particular this crazy war on drugs, and trying to be a bright light among this trail as we’re trying to extract ourselves from the goo of prohibition.

“It’s going to be very reflective of Willie’s life.”

When journalist Dan Rather asked Nelson why he was getting into the legal marijuana business, the singer’s answer was typically renegade — and holistic.

“To prove a point, I think,” Nelson told Rather. “I felt like that if you really believe in something, why not promote it?”

Further into the interview, Nelson discussed some of his first employees and supporters with Rather, some of which included members of the lady-centric professional working organization called Women Grow.

“There’s a bunch of gals up in Colorado … that are running Willie’s Reserve — we call them the high women,” Nelson said with a laugh. “But it’s like Women’s Growers, I think, is their legal name. But they’re doing great work.”

Willie has always been pretty vocal about his interest in marijuana, and also about his personal use of the herb. He feels passionate about marijuana, and obviously about his supporters, which also happen to love marijuana. What better way to give back to his supporters than to give them a local pot operation that is revolved around pure products and family? Not only that but to provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the operation itself, with benefits that most small town companies wouldn’t dream of providing? Hmm, we can’t think of a thing!
